True Love is the only pure black on pure white Debbie has ever painted!
True Love
The Artist’s Interpretation:
Seemingly so simple, this is one of Debbie's most challenging pieces! Imagine, black paint, white canvas & palette knife! No room for errors, simply a connection with the canvas, pure and simple, just like "True Love"!
"I love, love, love, black & white. Something about it is so pure, so true. No hidden notions, just true love…. For the first 10 years of my painting career I never used black paint, I purposely would avoid it, I felt that it would deaden my paint or give it some downer quality.
Then a few years ago, I had a deeply personal & moving experience in life and it shifted my view point about love and relationships. For me true love is black & white, there is no grey about it! Like true love, painting with black paint, is the purest compliment that I can give to anyone.
Known for my dramatic colors & movement in my work, to express myself in black and white and solely with pallet knife, all the while evoking colorful emotions, was a challenge to say the least! Living on the edge, I present for the first time on the web this one of kind, never to be made in any print ever, what I call True Love.
Please note this piece is a rare orginal and being offered at this price for a very limited time only.
