Heart Artist Inspires Breast Cancer Survivors

Debbie Marie Arambula, internationally known as the “The Heart Artist,” unveiled her beautiful new inspirational art, appropriately titled Believe, at the 15th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event for Los Angeles County, where over 14,000 enthusiastic runners, supporters and breast cancer survivors gathered in Dodger Stadium for opening ceremonies on March 6th, 2011.

Debbie’s recognizable art is in private collections all over the world, but this partnership with Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Los Angeles County, is especially important and personal to Debbie. She dedicated this piece to her lifelong friend, Erin Bray-Holt.

“I was humbled to be chosen to unveil this inspirational painting, dedicating it to all women and their families who have personally been touched by this disease, and to be a part of spreading love to everyone involved in Breast Cancer Awareness and Research. For me, the heart is the essence of life, dreams, love, the soul and everything that is good inside each of us. I am proud to be invited to partner with this wonderful foundation, joining forces with them in their mission, a world without breast cancer. More than hope, more than faith, it all starts with Believe.”

During the race, which raised 1.5 million dollars for the foundation, Mother, Debbie and daughter, and up-coming artist, Katie Arambula, displayed their works of art as an “Inspiration Oasis” of sorts, at a central location where runners passed by three times during the race—at the beginning, middle and the finish line, giving them, “an esthetic reminder inspiring us to keep going for a great cause.”

Matthew Hourihan, Operations Coordinator for Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, LA County, said, “I am really thrilled to be a part of something so beautiful. Art has always had a special place in my life, and to be able to combine the beauty of Debbie’s artwork with my passion for breast cancer awareness is a dream come true.”

Believe will be publically released to the world with a special online unveiling on April 24th at www.theheartartist.com. Twenty percent of proceeds from the sale of the art will be given to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Go to Debbie’s website and sign up to win a free piece of art. Join the Heart Artist and be part of the cure—a perfect way to help others and enjoy the works of this inspirational painter of love.
